International Finance Corporation Rates Armenia

[...] the new global rating {among 155 countries from the viewpoint of convenient conditions for private entrepreneurial activities has been} compiled by specialists of the World Bank and its facility the International Finance Corporation.

The analytical report on this topic and the rating, included in it for the first time, were presented on Monday at the US National Press Club.

According to the new report, the best conditions for private business in the world are now in New Zealand, Singapore, the US, Canada and Norway. The 30 front-runners also include the Baltics. In the Commonwealth, Armenia takes the 46th place. It is trailed by Russia (79), Moldova (83), Kyrgyzstan (84), Kazakhstan (86), Azerbaijan (98), Georgia, Belarus (106), Ukraine (124) and Uzbekistan (138).

Tajikistan and Turkmenistan are not covered by the research. Leading developing countries have indicators below the average. China – 91st place, India – 116th and Brazil – 119th. African countries are at the bottom of the list. Europeans are in the lead as to the rates of reforms.
