Aid offered by foreign countries and groups to help the U.S. with Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, according to the State Department:
  1. Afghanistan: $100,000
  2. Albania: $300,000 pledged
  3. Armenia: $200,000 pledged
  4. Australia: $7.6 million
  5. Austria: tarps, camp beds
  6. Azerbaijan: $500,000
  7. Bahamas: $50,000 pledged
  8. Bahrain: $5 million pledged
  9. Bangladesh: $1 million pledged
  10. Belgium: operations teams, generators, water pumps, nine-member logistical team to work with the Red Cross
  11. Bosnia/Herzegovina: $6,414 pledged
  12. Cambodia: $20,000 pledged
  13. Canada: $5 million pledged to the hurricane relief fund headed by former Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton, two Griffin helicopters, search and rescue teams, Air Canada evacuation flights, supplies, security team, three Canadian forces ships with three Sea King helicopters
  14. China: $5.1 million, 1,000 tents, 600 generators, bed sheets
  15. Cyprus: $50,000
  16. Djibouti: $50,000 pledged
  17. Equatorial Guinea: $500,000 pledged
  18. European Commission: Civil Protection Cooperative Mechanism activated
  19. France: 600 tents, supplies
  20. Gabon: $500,000 pledged
  21. Georgia: $50,000
  22. Germany: high-speed pumps, supplies
  23. Greece: two cruise ships
  24. Hungary: $5,000
  25. Iceland: $500,000 pledged to the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund
  26. International Committee of the Red Cross: Web-based tracking system for displaced people
  27. India: $5 million; 3,000 each of personal-hygiene kits, blankets and sheets; 150 tarps
  28. Iraq: $1 million pledged to the Red Cross via the Red Crescent
  29. Ireland: $1 million euros (about $1.24 million U.S.)
  30. Italy: generators, water pumps and purifiers, tents, supplies
  31. Japan: $200,000, $844,000 in supplies and private pledges of more than $1 million
  32. Kenya: $100,000
  33. Kuwait: $100 million plus an additional $400 million in oil products
  34. Malaysia: $1 million to the Red Cross
  35. Maldives: $25,000 to the Red Cross
  36. Mauritania: $200,000 from the American Mauritania Business Council to the Red Cross
  37. Mexico: 45 truckloads of supplies, transport vehicles, two field kitchens, two helicopters
  38. Mongolia: $50,000 pledged
  39. Morocco: $500,000 pledged
  40. Nepal: $25,000 pledged
  41. Netherlands: Levee inspection team to assist Army Corps of Engineers, water pumps, frigate
  42. New Zealand: $1.4 million to the Red Cross
  43. Nigeria: $1 million pledged
  44. Norway: $1.54 million in cash and supplies
  45. Oman: $15 million
  46. Organization of American States: $25,000, created fund for donations from member states to the International Committee of the Red Cross
  47. Pakistan: $1 million pledged to the Red Cross, supplies
  48. Palau: $50,000 pledged plus $50,000 donor drive
  49. Papua New Guinea: $10,000 to the Red Cross
  50. Qatar: $100 million pledged
  51. Republic of Korea: $30 million, supplies
  52. Russia: air transport, generators, tents, blankets, water, water pumps, supplies
  53. Sao Tome and Principe: $18,000 pledged
  54. Saudi Arabia: $5 million from Aramco, $250,000 from AGFUND
  55. Singapore: four helicopters
  56. Spain: relief supplies
  57. Sri Lanka: $25,000 to the Red Cross
  58. Sweden: telecommunications equipment
  59. Taiwan: $2 million, supplies
  60. Thailand: blankets, supplies
  61. United Arab Emirates: $100 million pledged
  62. Uganda: $200,000 pledged
  63. United Kingdom: relief supplies
  64. Venezuela: up to $1 million to the Red Cross and state governments
  65. Vietnam: $100,000 to victims
  66. Yemen: $100,000 to the Red Cross
