The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement has extradited Vigen Patatanyan, who committed crimes against Azerbaijanis in Nagorno Karabakh, to Armenia, APA’s US bureau reports.

Former lieutenant of Armenian army was detained in the city of San Diego on America-Mexico border. Patatanyan said during the interrogation in Migration and Customs Service that he closely participated in delivering soldiers and weapons to fight against Azerbaijanis during the first Karabakh war. The lieutenant confessed that the soldiers whom he supplied with weapons committed terrible massacres against the local residents in Shusha, Lachin, Khankendi, Kalbajar, Fuzuli and other regions of Azerbaijan.

Officer of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Alan Rabinovich stated that they will not allow the criminals committed terrible massacres against civilians during conflicts to hide in the US.

It is the second time that 38-year old Armenian criminal tries to enter the US with forged migrant documents.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement appealed to the people to inform about the men entering the country and suspected of committing crimes. /APA/
