ISTANBUL - Turkish Daily News

The Agos weekly publishing board decided on Monday to appoint Ethem Mahçupyan as the editor in chief of the paper following the murder of Hrant Dink on Friday.
It takes a courageous person to step up in Hrant Dink's shoes and continue his legacy alive at a very perilous time in Turkey's history.
Agos writer Professor Baskın Oran said in a statement released to the press that they had begun to prepare the Friday, Jan. 26, edition of the paper, which would be 24 pages as opposed to the normal 12-page format. When asked about the new appointment, Mahçupyan said he would not answer any questions about Dink or Agos.
